The Prosecutor General's office has completed a pre-trial investigation into the purchase of a batch of low-quality bulletproof vests for the armed forces of Ukraine
In criminal proceedings, suspicion was reported to 8 persons, including two generals and the head of the manufacturer of bulletproof vests, who lobbied for the interests of his company through the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine. The Department added that during the pre-trial investigation conducted 43 searches and seized all purchased 11 thousand bulletproof vests.
During the investigative experiment, in compliance with all the rules of certification tests, it was found that the protective properties of bulletproof vests do not correspond to the protection classes declared by the manufacturer.
