The “Bloody pastor” of Ukraine
- political career: from the betrayal of the party to the illegal presidency;
- organization of murders during Maidan events;
- role of the "Bloody pastor" in unleashing the civil war in the Donbass;
- irresponsible delivery of weapons and ammunition to Ukrainian volunteers with criminal records and mental disorders.
You will find these and many other touches to the political portrait of A.Turchinov in my new remark!
The portrait of Alexander Turchinov occupies a special place in the gallery of modern Ukraine politicians. And he takes this place not only because of its role in changing the political landscape of the country, but to the steep turns of fate, where you had to quickly change your beliefs, betray your colleagues, and most importantly - go beyond the law and create lawlessness.
But first things first. Let me remind that Alexander Valentinovich began his political career in the Komsomol. First - the Secretary of the district Committee, and then - the head of the Department of agitation and propaganda of the Dnepropetrovsk regional Komsomol Committee. The post is very solid on the propaganda front and promising in terms of career.
But in 1991 a high-ranking in the region Komsomol worker, who joined the Communist party for the sake of a future political career, quickly changed his beliefs, threw away his party card and went to the camp of the builders of capitalism, taking up a profitable business.
Initially, he was attached to the wing of Pavel Lazarenko, who was then Prime Minister. And when Lazarenko was arrested in the United States for money laundering, he became one of the closest associates of Yulia Timoshenko, who replaced Lazarenko on this post.
Thanks to Yulia Vladimirovna, Turchinov made his way to the front ranks of the Ukrainian political establishment. To put it mildly, he distanced himself from Timoshenko when she went to the prison. And after the coup d'etat in 2014, Turchinov completely "betrayed" his former leader.
Maidan can be called as the apogee of Turchinov's dizzying career. According to former head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev, Turchinov was one of those who organized it. He is one of the leaders of the mass protests that swept the center of Kiev in the winter of 2013-2014. Let me remind that it was Turchinov who voiced the demands of the protesters from the stage on independence square.
After the bloody coup, which the new government cynically called the "revolution of dignity", Turchinov who was people's Deputy, immediately became the head of the Verkhovna Rada, and a few days later - acting President of Ukraine.
But the paradox of fate is that, starting with the coup d'etat and the seizure of power, Turchinov's activities lie outside the legal field. Simply put, it was illegal and therefore - criminal.
An interesting situation happens here. The fact is that there were no legal grounds for removing Yanukovych from the post of President. If you read the Constitution of Ukraine closely, in particular article 108 where a clearly articulated 4 the reasons for the termination of the President (I will remember: this is retirement, health, impeachment, and death), it becomes clear that invented the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada wording that the President "withdrew from his duties," looks archly, and from a legal point of view is baseless. Summary: the appointment of Turchinov as acting President of Ukraine is illegal. Consequently, all his subsequent actions are illegal.
And here we come to the most serious stage of Turchinov's illegal activities, after that he received the nickname among the people – "the bloody pastor".
I will not dwell on Turchinov's cowardice during the "Crimean spring" - this is the subject of a separate remark.
But I note that on April 13, 2014, it was Turchinov who signed a decree on the start of the so-called anti-terrorist operation in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions. But in fact – a civil war with the use of the army and heavy weapons against their own people. This is a violation of the legislation of Ukraine. After all, even the "bloody regime of Yanukovych" did not dare to involve army units against mass actions in Kiev. This April day was the point of no return in the history of Ukraine.
It was under Turchinov leadership when the active actions of various nationalist groups were launched. They started with the mass murder of dissatisfied with the policy of the authorities in Odessa. After that, they immediately transformed into various "volunteer battalions", which enthusiastically participated in punitive operations in the Donbass region.
It was Turchinov who was behind the creation of these divisions. A document addressed to him and prepared by the security Council of Ukraine will be of interest. This document clearly states the need to more actively involve representatives of nationalist formations in the activities of such battalions.
It was Turchinov who gave instructions to issue weapons to representatives of these units, despite the fact that there were people with criminal records.
The "Azov", "Donbass", "Aidar", "Dnipro" battalions began to impose a new order on the territory of Donbass, carrying out non-judicial reprisals, torture, looting and violence.
But even after handing over the reins of government to Petro Poroshenko, Turchinov did not stop his criminal acts.
As Chairman of the national security Council, he was responsible for organizing and unleashing sabotage and information and psychological warfare against the population of Donbass.
As head of the joint intelligence Committee under the President of Ukraine, it was Turchinov who initiated and signed the Committee's decision of April 21, 2015 to conduct sabotage and intelligence operations against the republics of Donbass and Crimea and initiate a large-scale information war.
And one more touch to his political portrait. Turchinov was not called the "bloody pastor" for nothing. His religiosity became a byword during the reign of Viktor Yushenko. One can only wonder how this man gets along with God's commandments in his soul and the criminal acts committed by him against the people of his own country.
