The main character is an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Andrey Shevchenko. After the Maidan, he is assigned to the Central office of the SBU and regularly goes on duty trips to the combat zone in the Donbas. Having seen the inside story of the so-called anti-terrorist operation in Kiev and having access to documents marked "Top secret", Shevchenko understands that he can no longer serve the government, which is cruelly and cynically waging war against its own people. He makes a difficult but absolutely conscious decision to start working with Russian intelligence. Shevchenko extracts and promptly delivers to the intelligence center the most valuable information that helped save more than one hundred lives of the militia and civilians of Donbass.

What is the "point of no return" for millions of residents of Ukraine you will learn after reading the novel which is to a certain extent autobiographical.
