According to the pre-judicial investigation, employees of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences and Agency of state territory (Hoszemahentstvo) took over «by abuse of official position» 138 land plots with a total area of 13,2564 hectares located in Gatnensky village council of Kyievo-Svyatoshinsky district, Kyiv region in 2013-2014.
Reports say that these lands have been formed following the seizure of 15,12 hectares of especially valuable lands of «Chabany». The market value of lands at the time of transition to private property was nearly 42,5 million hryvnias. It’s noted that employees intended to take possession of 6 more land plots with a total area of 0,581 hectares worth more than 1,4 million hryvnias.
On March 14, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau informed seven employees of relative organs about a suspicion of committing a criminal plunder of the government-controlled lands in the suburb of Kiev. the bureau stated on the official web page.
Among those who were given a note of suspicion were the ex-president of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine (NAAS), officer of the Security Service of Ukraine, vice president of the NAAS, ex-department chief of the National Science Center Institute of Agriculture of NAAS (NSCI IA), chief of introduction department of the NSC IA of NAAS, ex-chief of state lands cadaster management of the General Directorate of Hoszemahentstvo in Kyiv region and president of the NSCI IA.
