Today we will tell you about the most disgusting volunteer unit in Ukraine - the battalion, and later on - the Azov regiment. The location of the dobrobat was the city of Berdyansk, and there is plenty of information about the atrocities of his fighters in the city.

In the first part of the video:

- the history of the formation of the "Azov" battalion;

- neo-Nazis, criminals, ultras. Who formed the backbone of the battalion?

- robberies, rapes as well as other examples of the criminal activities of the Azov fighters in Berdyansk.

And this is only a small part. There is so much dirt on this kindness that it is impossible to fit everything into one replica. Expect the second part of the issue, in which we will continue the story about the terrible crimes of the Azov regiment.

I continue the cycle of remarks about the most odious units of the Ukrainian power structures - volunteer battalions. And today I will start a story about, perhaps, the most disgusting unit - the battalion, and later on - the Azov regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Why do I say start? Yes, because there is so much dirt on this kindness that it is impossible to tell about it in one remark. In addition, during my rotations to the ATO area, I quite often had to intersect with the Azov fighters, which makes it possible to narrate based on personal experience. It is also worth mentioning that for a long time the place of deployment of "Azov" was the city of Berdyansk on the shores of the Sea of Azov, my hometown. And I have enough information about the atrocities of the said dobrobat in Berdyansk

So let's start from the very beginning. As a result of the so-called Euromaidan in Kiev, many persons convicted of various crimes, including grave ones, were released from places of detention. Among those released was Andriy Biletsky, who was the head of the nationalist public organization "Patriot of Ukraine" and the social-nationalist assembly of Ukraine. He was arrested on December 27, 2011 under Part 2 of Art. 187 (robbery committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons). The social-nationalist movement of Ukraine regarded the arrest of Biletsky and his supporters as political repression.

On February 24, 2014, the Verkhovna Rada adopted Resolution No. 4202 “On the Release of Political Prisoners”. In compliance with this decree, on February 25, 2014, Andriy Biletsky and his associates in the “Patriot of Ukraine” were released from prison. And on April 13, 2014, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov announced the beginning of the creation in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of new units from among volunteers - battalions of special patrol police at regional departments of internal affairs. And already at the beginning of May 2014, it was decided to create such a unit at the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.

On the night of May 5, on the territory of a military unit of internal troops right there in Mariupol, 70 people took the oath and received weapons. Senior Lieutenant Vladimir Shpara was appointed the commander of this group. And soon the aforementioned Andrei Biletsky became the battalion commander.

People's Deputy Oleg Lyashko, one of the former leaders of the UNA-UNSO Dmitry Korchinsky, and a representative of the Social-National Assembly Igor Moseichuk took an active part in the creation of the unit. Financial and material support in the formation of the dobrobat was provided by the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky and another prominent Ukrainian businessman Sergey Taruta. The new unit included members of the neo-Nazi organizations "Social-National Assembly" and "Patriot of Ukraine", activists of "Automaidan" and various hundreds of Maidan Self-Defense.

Subsequently, representatives of the ultras of football clubs, supporters of Dmitry Korchinsky (the so-called "Hundred Jesus Christ"), OUN activists, as well as many representatives of foreign states joined the unit. Moreover, the majority of foreigners were also supporters of neo-Nazi views, including the infamous Nazi organization "Misanthropic Division".

And also the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Oleg Lyashko said that among the fighters of the Azov battalion, which takes part in the hostilities in the east of Ukraine, there are previously convicted people. I quote: "The fact that people were previously convicted is not a stigma for life. I want to tell you: among the fighters of the Azov special forces, about half of those previously convicted."

In early May 2014, the fighters of the newly created battalion managed to take part in several actions against supporters of the DPR, including during the events of May 9, 2014, when civilians in Mariupol and employees of the Mariupol city police department were killed. It was then that the Azov militants shed the first blood of civilians in Donbass. On May 14, after the events in Mariupol, the Azov battalion was transferred to Berdyansk, as it was officially announced “for military coordination, as well as for the purpose of reorganization and replenishment”. And in this small resort town, which was located in the Zaporozhye region, outside the ATO area, the Azov battalion showed itself "in all its glory" in relation to the civilian population.

The militants of the battalion were noted in illegal detentions, extortion, robberies and robberies. "Azov" unauthorizedly set up several checkpoints in Berdyansk, at which passing cars were inspected, especially if the cars were with numbers from the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. At the same time, the “Azovites” openly disregarded the law, conducting such searches.

One of the leaders of the battalion, Vladimir Shpara, said, and I quote “within the framework of the anti-terrorist operation and anti-terrorist measures, the battalion employees can inspect vehicles without a court decision and sanctions from the internal affairs bodies. We carry out investigative measures with the detained criminals, and then hand them over to the police officers or the SBU ”.

Many citizens of Ukraine have lost valuable things or cars, and even health, having undergone such an examination by volunteers from Azov. What can I say if the militants did not hesitate to bring even police officers to their knees. For example, on May 22, 2014, the Azov fighters, with the personal participation of Igor Moseichuk, brought the traffic police officers of the Berdyansk city department of internal affairs to their knees, who dared to stop a minibus without numbers for checking ...

And there were also cases when Azov militants took food from local stores without payment - residents of Berdyansk can remember on June 2, 2014, when Azov militants staged shooting near the Amstor supermarket during a conflict with local residents, two of whom received gunshot injured. And there was also a sensational story about the rape of two underage residents of Berdyansk, which, however, the leadership of the battalion managed to quickly hush up, using close contacts with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

But I remember very well how the leaders of local law enforcement officers reacted to the battalion's presence in Berdyansk in the summer of 2014. They gritted their teeth, but could not do anything. In early July 2014, the Azov battalion was withdrawn from Berdyansk. - Thank God, the battalion has left, - the mayor of the city Alexey Bakai said then. - There were a lot of incidents, but we endured ... "Azov" stayed with us for almost two months, we tried to solve all their problems.

Although many residents of the city were unhappy with their presence. "End of quote. The mayor of Berdyansk tried to be neutral, but even these words show how such "liberators" were treated in the city. At the same time, I would like to emphasize that Berdyansk was not in the area of the ATO.

So, in early July 2014, the Azov battalion left Berdyansk. However, the militants continue their training at a former military training ground near the city, periodically organize marches and processions, or, for example, dismantle monuments to Lenin, as it was in the early morning of January 27, 2015.

But on the whole, the division's Berdyansk page is over. And the Azov battalion moved to Mariupol ...
